First Joe Budden throws his own career in the trash with that garbage he calls amagalalmamalma digital…or something…Now he is trying to take young Brandon Jennings with him.

In what can only be described as one of the worst interviews that I have ever seen, and we’ve done some terrible interviews.

What was I able to take away from the interview? Here are some of my highlights:

- Joe Budden has bitches in Milwaukee
- Joe Budden is impressed by Brandon Jennings having a 3 story townhouse…
- Joe Budden thinks Scott Skiles is an ‘A**hole’ … yeah like taping a conversation you are having and then putting it online for everyone to see when you “don’t know” that you are being taped according to the ESPN story…yeah like that kind of A**hole.
- “If you’re trying to be like Joe Budden you’re doing the right thing.”
- Brandon Jennings thinks Rubio is garbage…Ok I guess he’s right here.
- Brandon Jennings feels about the Knicks that Budden feels about Jay Z…

So let’s be clear about what is happening here. Joe Budden, rapper who had some good tracks then got banished to who knows where, is interviewing a guy who instead of going to college went to play ball in Europe for a year and then get drafted. Now neither of these guys is going to win the “Most Well Liked Dude In Amercia” award…but still.

Joe Budden is kind of a jerk for putting that video out there.

So it begins…

Michael Jackson Tribute Song #1

“Better on the Other Side”
The Game, Chris Brown, P.Diddy, Polow Da Don, Mario Winans, Usher & Boyz II Men.

Not a bad song, some weird things I noticed.

- Michael Jackson and puff tried to stop the beef between Game and 50? What?
- Chris Brown on this track is kind of weird, I mean if there was a guy who I would say is Michael Jackson like in his actions, I mean look at how he was in his videos, it’s just he beats women…Mike didn’t do that stuff.

But this is the first of many I’m sure. So I’m making a new category for these things.

So the old look of WestSideWill.com is in its final 38 or so hours (July 1st is the launch of the new look site with some cool features) I find it right to post some feelings that I have about the old site.

Sure she was ugly, but damint she was always there for you, you know kind of like your first car. My first car was an 89′ bonneville, which if you are good at math you know was old as heck when I was 16 and driving it, but it never died on me and made me the best darn pizza boy this side of the Mississippi. Sure my next car was much better, and the one after that was even better, but you always remember your first.

So old WestSideWill.com sure you were ugly, but you always got us from point A to Point B. Anyway, here is a little song that I’m dedicating to you:

Europe, the final countdown...older than my '89 bonneville

Europe, the final countdown...older than my '89 bonneville

Europe…awesome…just awesome!

Billy Mays, pitchman, and all around awesome dude was found dead today at his Tampa Area Home.

Read more here: http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/TV/06/28/mays.death/index.html

What is going on here? Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, and now Billy Mays?

Billy Mays was involved in a “hard landing” on a plane on Saturday where he was hit on the head. Cause of death is yet to be determined.

It’s not a good time to be a celebrity.

So TMZ is saying today that President Barack Obama wrote a letter of condolence to the family of Michael Jackson.

Maybe it’s just me, but if that wasn’t president Barack Obama who wrote a letter to an accused child molester…(remember he made a case go away for $20 million…maybe it’s just me, but I don’t pay someone $20 million if I didn’t molest them. I mean he didn’t molest me, do I get $20 million?) Seriously, if president Bush did this how quick do you think it would have been for the most annoying man on TV, Keith Olberman (who…should never have left sports center…but then once he did he should never have joined NBC’s Sunday Night Football…) to say something crazy about this?

But that all brings up one HUGE point, that I think I made on the Top 10 Unsigned Artist Countdown, Michael Jackson was the last of his kind. He is the last super star who when he died had the world stop. You seriously can’t name anyone like that now, maybe it has something to do with the lack of creativity in mainstream music today, or maybe it just has something to do with cynic nature of people today but the fact is that this is the last time in our lifetimes that we’ll see a star like that.

Michael Jackson WAS in fact able to stop the world, anyone who can get MTV to start playing music videos again is a powerful guy, and he was. The most amazing thing about his music is that you would be hard pressed to find someone who didn’t like it! Like I mentioned earlier even the most annoying dude on TV seemed to actually have a tone in his voice like he was going to miss MJ, again he did something that not a lot of people who ever lived would be able to do, and something no one alive today was going to be able to do.

Who are the big stars in the world today? Seriously, list 5, then ask your friend to list 5, and you know what you’ll find? You probably have 8 or 9 names between the 2 of you. When you would ask about the greatest musicians alive when MJ was alive you may have had a list of 8 or 9, but MJ would be on every single list regardless of what genre of music you preferred.

That’s what makes Michael dying so sad, that’s what made the President write a letter to his family (even though it’s clear MJ had some issues during his life) he was the last of his kind. So while it would be easy to say, “Yeah he’s dead, but what’s the big deal?” you just can’t say it. You know what the big deal is no matter how big of a hater you are of his. You know he changed music and for one day was actually able to make the world stop.

According to TMZ Michael Jackson has died.

He was 50 years old, and I know some people may be hating on him because maybe he was a little bit “strange”, to say the least, but I choose to remember him as the dude who made some pretty rad music and music videos.

Like Billie Jean

Whulp…the King is dead.

Michael Jackson Dead at age 50

EDIT June 26: According to TMZ the cops are looking for a doctor who lived with Jackson and gave him a shot before he died. A demerol shot to be exact, which is a morphene generic.

WSW 2.0 FAQ!

So I bet a lot of you were wondering, what’s all this talk about WestSideWill 2.0 and why will it be so awesome? Well good news folks, I decided to take some time out of my day and answer some questions that I bet are on a lot of your minds!

Q: What’s the new look going to be? I mean beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

A: Think Ashlee Simpson. You know, change the front a little bit but the inside is still the same. We just look 100% better.

Uh oh...an Ashlee Simpson analogy.

Uh oh...an Ashlee Simpson analogy.

Ashlee Simpson like WestSideWill.com - the first one wasn't bad...it's just now we look Wayyyy better.

Ashlee Simpson like WestSideWill.com - the first one wasn't bad...it's just now we look Wayyyy better.

Q: So what sort of killer features are you adding to the site?

A: We’ve kind of always been of the thinking that the simpler things are, the better they’ll be for our site. That doesn’t mean that we aren’t adding great features though, we are adding great features that will be easy to understand by our audience. For example, we are going to be adding the ability for our artists to upload a picture and edit their directory pages (so that way they can be sure that the info the fans see about them are 100% correct.) And we have a TON of stuff in the works but truly the goal is to keep it simple.

Q: Will your site be able to help the revolution in Iran? Didn’t think so…

A: Ummmmmm…well No. We aren’t going to be anywhere as “cool” as twitter. Who doesn’t like reading 140 character messages? I mean – who has time to call someone and ask what they are doing, no one. Nope I’d rather have what all my friends are doing FORCED upon me each and every day. Oh…hot Joel is eating a doughnut…neat.

Q: Are there going to be any on air changes?

A: At this time we are going to stick with the lineup. However as more parties become interested in syndicating our show Dave and I are going to be focusing on that. With that said we are going to hopefully be bringing in some new talent for shows late 2009 or early 2010. What exactly those shows are going to be about is still be discussed.

Q: What about policy changes? Did you guys sell out and decide it’s time to start charging musicians money?

A: We don’t EVER plan on changing musicians for anything. We just don’t care to conduct business that way, there is enough unsigned musicians have to worry about paying for that doesn’t have to do with promotion. As for policy changes one thing we are going to be more vigilant about is weeding out indie label artists who have tried to submit music being sneaky. In the past we didn’t search and destroy those songs, but as more syndication interest is building we have to have a more solid set of rules for our show. So if you are on an indie label and think you fooled us…we’re coming for you!!!! (We’re sending Hot Joel…destroyer and overall happening cat.)

Q: I was a part of the Beta test…why did you guys change colors that I saw?

A: Well I’ve been with WestSideWill.com since the beginning of it’s time as a radio site and our site has always been gray (with the exception of when it very first launched and was white.) One of the big things was to bring WestSideWill 2.0 up with the times and give it a color that is a little bit more inviting to everyone. WestSideWill.com is here for the people! (Well I’m here for the hot chicks, but the rest of the company doesn’t really echo that.) So for those of you who have not yet seen the new WestSideWill.com I think when it launches you are really going to enjoy it.

Q: Wait…you guys have a logo now? That almost seems professional, am I on the wrong site?

A: I’m glad you noticed that little logo we have been floating around on our different social networking sites and as the little icon on your browser (it has a technical name…however I’m not a tech guy so I don’t know what it is) when you click on to our page – that is WestSideWill. You see, Will was never really a person, we’d get emails addressed to ‘Will’ all day long so we decided if the dude is getting emails he might as well get a face. And I totally won the design contest to make Will…it feels good. Meet Will:

Meet WestSideWill

Meet WestSideWill

We’ll have all sorts of great new info for you when we actually launch the site, I’ll have the exact day for you Tomorrow. Have a good Tuesday!

Well in MTV.com’s case it’s when they break down a movie trailer.

That’s right folks MTV, you know the company that used to be about music, then they got all Lifetimey and now air…well…Lifetime type stuff, broke down a movie trailer.

Maybe I’m crazy, or maybe they are. Who thinks it’s a good idea when a company decides that one of their best articles or pieces of content for the day is going to be a movie trailer…of a movie starring John Cusack. I’m not dissing ol’ Johnny, the dude is a Cubs fan and you have to respect that, but I am saying MTV needs to fix itself.

For some reason they went all soft on us and decided it was time to take a company that probably used to have a fairly large market share to a company that is going to have to compete with Bravo for every time slot.

So let me say this now, this is the official beginning of the end for MTV, get ready for them to change their name to something really crappy in the near future.

This is of course a cool video by one of our favorite artists MyzFortune, she’s on the Top 10 Unsigned Artist Countdown why not give it a listen
