What is Alexa? I really am not that sure, the guys here at WestSideWill just showed me a few things about it and thanks to a quick summary by Doug I kind of get the drift – Alexa is a website that ranks the “traffic” of other websites. So basically it tells you how popular you are in this world (although you have to have some sort of Toolbar on your browser to count). I always knew Alexa was a site that ranked websites but up until now I wasn’t exactly up on all the odds and ends of what was going on with that site, I think I am now.
But when you find something new you like to take it out for a test drive, and that’s what I did. I was searching Alexa.com to find all the websites in the world that WestSideWill.com was better than – and there are A TON! I think the ranking system goes up to something like 28,000,000 and as of this very posting WestSideWill.com is ranked 378,178 (and like golf a low score is great) – so I thought a fun post would be to show all of the really cool websites we are better than!

I’m not really sure how the world works, but the fact that we here at WestSideWill.com are over 1.1 million spots better than Jenn Sterger is kind of weird. Does this mean we’re hotter than Jenn Sterger? (By the way her site has pics/bio/and a BLOG that she writes – so there is content there – no idea why it isn’t super popular (To be fair not EVERYONE knows who she is. You kind of have to know sports – she doesn’t really do anything else)

Well here is when things are starting to get weird, we are about a million spots better than Val Kilmer’s offical site, but he’s about 200,000 slots ahead of Jenn Sterger? I have to say that I think Jenn Sterger’s fans need to step it up! And what the damn is with the ‘E’ ValEKilmer.com???

Well…I kind of figured we would be popular, but better than a blog that just posts pics of professional cheerleaders?!?! How is that even possible – I mean the site isn’t “porn” but generally speaking sites that have to do with pretty girls on a daily basis usually kick butt – does this mean we are better than professional cheerleaders?
