Article: MJ doesn’t have money you can sue him all you want

Here is the quick version, Director John Landis, of the “Thriller” music video, is suing MJ because he refused to pay him the amount he was owed on the net profits from the video. Mr. Landis claims 50% is due to him…The Video was made in 1983. What has he been doing these past 26 years? Do you think he was calling Mike and and Mike was saying, “John listen, my tree phone gets terrible reception, but I can tell you one thing your check is in the mail. I gotta go you are breaking up….” And John Landis had to be buying that for 26 years. Awesome.

That’s all the news that is awesome for today! And what did we learn? If Michael Jackson owes you money don’t take his BS excuses for the next 26 years.

Normally I don’t really look to see who are sponsors are, I mean I am glad we have them, but I don’t have an album or anything that needs mastering or replicating so maybe the services don’t really apply to me.

BUT – our newest advertiser was a site I had to check out, “Linty Fresh” clothing, because it said you can grab a 10% discount if you type in WESTSIDE and I’m all about discounts. Anywhooo, Linty Fresh is a clothing site, mostly shirts and belts along with some other stuff, that is run by one dude with a bunch of design ideas so you have to respect it. My first thought before I clicked the link was “I sure hope this stuff is good, and cheap” because I’m like that, and guess what? It was.

I know you are yelling at the screen by this point, “Nooge! Please tell us why it was good stuff!” well I’m glad you demanded it because here are my thoughts behind all this -

1) I Like t-shirts, LintyFresh.com sells T-Shirts and they actually have some pretty good artwork on them. I’m not talking the weird random baloney that you would find at an Old Navy or Abercrombie that says something like “Detroit Boxing Gym” and you in no way are any where near Detroit. Or a shirt that says Long Beach or Brooklyn on it, nope, you’ll find shirts with some pretty rad little characters doing rad stuff.

2) Rad Characters and images. What I mean by that is if you click on each shirt, or belt, or button. or whatever, you will find a story about the T-Shirt and what exactly it is and what it depicts. That’s something I kind of wish some other companies would start doing…what the heck am I doing with a long sleeve shirt that says Brooklyn on it anyway? On second thought if other companies started doing this their description would read something like, “Yeah…we made this shirt to draw in those hipster and scene kids…they like to spend money, and we like money so it seems like it is a good fit. Oh and this shirt isn’t available in XX sizes sorry.”

3) Fair prices. Dude where can you find a shirt for $5 or $10 bucks that actually looks cool and you won’t see some douche wearing it on “The Real Housewives of Orange County”!?!?!?! Sorry, maybe that just happened to me and maybe I’m just holding a grudge…but still what the hell guy and did versus have to play an ad for the show during the 1 show a year I watch on their station… Really they are cool shirts for $10, and with a 10% discount typing in WESTSIDE you can style yourself real propa like…Unlike that nerd from that show…damn.

Here is what I’m trying to say, there are some really great shirts and other clothing articles on that site that are unique and cool looking. It’s worth just checking out – again I don’t normally do this for all of our advertisers it’s just that Linty Fresh had something that caught my eye.

No friends, I’m not talking about the new president, although to be fair that’s a change we can believe in as well.

I’m talking about K.O. “Boomer” Boomstein leaving WestSideWill Radio, and while that it is sad to see him go, he is being replaced by a real go getter, a guy musicians and their fans can believe in, Dave The Intern. That’s right folks Dave is now the full time Radio Robin to my Batman.

We wish Boomer well down in Houston…or H-Town as we call it…what is he doing in H-Town, that can be anyone’s guess. Knowing Boomer like I do I assume it has something to do with hidden treasure.

So fans of Boomer & The Nooge tune in Thursday and Friday for the last 2 shows EVER that will feature the dynamic duo on WestSideWill Radio!!!!!!

If you watched football at all this weekend you probably will know what I’m talking about when I say, “that Geico commercial with the song “Somebody’s Watching Me” is part of a catchy series of commercials right?”

Well I have good news for you, I actually found the mix that they use on the commercial, it’s made by Mysto and Pizzi – and here is what I like about these dudes, they don’t need anything more than a webcam – a boom box – and a stack of money with eyes to make a rad music video.

Normally I’m not a HUGE TMZ guy, but any time they have a story as great as this about my least favorite Bull of all time I have to link to it.

Basically the story goes like this, Eddy is being sued by his former driver for trying to get the dude to touch his genitals. If I know one thing about Eddy Curry, he’s 100% hetero, I mean just look at this pic:

Short Bio: He’s a white rapper, who is actually very good, but ignored because he left his million buck deal for “creative” reasons. Couple that with the fact he has a pretty rad name…you’ll see why people tend to ignore him.

My Thoughts? It seems like Eminem is going back to being like he was on his first 2 albums – of course the version of the track I posted isn’t exactly a finished product, as I think we can all tell. My point still remains, Eminem is back to having his voice sound a little bit higher, and he doesn’t seem as serious or pissed off as he did on his last album – I think the time off will end up doing him well.

I guess we’ll find out.

I’m 3 things, a radio DJ, a man, and a gamer.

I give my opinion from time to time about music, about chicks, and now I’m going to give my opinion about a video game! I know everyone is excited to read this so I’m just going to go ahead and get on with it.

Fallout 3, or as it should be titled “The Game that Should be Awesome…but the More you Play the More it isn’t”, is a first person shooter/RPG/Action/Puzzle/Everything else game that takes place in a wide open world. This game happens to take place in a “wide open” Washington D.C. where your choices affect not just your game play for one mission, but how your character is treated for the duration of the game. Sounds good right? Well that part is good, so it sound like it should.

The problem starts to come about when you play the “main quest” of the story that features a bunch of holes, that I would love to point out but I don’t really want to spoil the game for anyone, which I just can’t get over. You take the time to make a HUGE game that has all sorts of fun side quests, doors to open, buildings/caves/tunnels to explore but ignore the core quest? What the hell?

Doing something like that is like having this super hot chick who has the most annoying voice in the world! Yeah, you can probably get over it, and yeah it’s probably the best thing you’ll ever get to play with, BUT still…if it just had one thing different it would be amazing.

That’s what we have here, a hot chick with a weird voice.

Everything in this game is great, if you ignore the story…and the fact you fight the same things over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over…but if you are looking for a game that has a story that you will enjoy and feel like you accomplished something this may not be the game for you.

I know this is going against every review of all time, but I’m going to give Fallout 3 a 7.5/10 . If I would have done this review before I won the game, like 99% of the other reviewers out there, I would probably have agreed with them. The fact remains that I play a game to tell me a story, a story that I can have my say in and have an enjoyable time unfolding the story, this game told me a story that was just stupid. Feel free to comment and tell me how I feel stupid because I am stupid, but the 7.5 score stays.
